Stoney Creek is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast corner of London. The southern part of this neighbourhood was developed first and is comprised of a mixture of 1970s to 1980s era single family homes, townhouses, and apartment buildings. The northern section of the neighbourhood is home to a subdivision of single family homes, as well as some newer townhouse complexes. There is a large commercial plaza at the corner of Fanshawe Park Road and Adelaide Street. Stoney Creek is also not far from the Masonville Mall commercial district.
There are a few large parks in Stoney Creek. Constitution Park has a soccer field, play structure, basketball court, and a spray pad. Wenige Park and Stephens Farm Park each have large open green space and play structures with swing sets. In addition to the outdoor parks, Stoney Creek is home to the Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA and Library, which has an indoor pool, gymnasium, fitness centre and full service library branch.
Stoney Creek is home to two schools, Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School and Stoney Creek Public School. Students also attend A.B. Lucas Secondary School and St. Mark Catholic School.
