Rowntree is a neighbourhood in south London, located just east of the Old South neighbourhood. The neighbourhood has a mix of housing, with many single detached homes built in the 1950s and 1960s, as well as some townhomes and small apartment buildings towards the eastern edge of the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is located close to the major commercial and transit hub at the intersection of Wellington and Commissioners Roads.
The Rowntree Park neighbourhood has easy access to the Thames Valley Parkway via Watson Street Park. In the centre of the neighbourhood is Rowntree Park, which has a play structure, tennis court, spray pad, and picnic shelter. Spikes Indoor Beach Volleyball is also located in the neighbourhood. Victoria Hospital and the Thames Valley Children's Centre is located at the south end of the neighbourhood.
Holy Rosary Catholic School is located in the centre of the neighbourhood, adjacent to Rowntree Park. Students also attend Princess Elizabeth Public School, as well as London South and Catholic Central secondary schools.
