Kensington Village is a small neighbourhood tucked between the Thames River and Riverside Dr., just west of Wharncliffe Rd. The houses are a mix of late 19th century, post-war, newer single detached and duplexes in the western portion of the neighbourhood and one high-rise apartment building. The closest commercial hubs are Cherryhill Mall and the Covent Garden Market area of downtown. Wharncliffe Road at Riverside also offers restaurants and some retail to the residents.
The major park in the area is Cavendish Park, which offers beautiful views of the river along its walking trails. Wood Street Park is a small park tucked behind houses on the western side of the neighbourhood. It is well used by the area residents and has a food forest and gazebo. Students in the area attend Eagle Heights and St. Thomas More elementary schools, and Sir Frederick Banting and St. André Bessette secondary schools.

Kensington Village Association
The Kensington Village Association aims to connect neighbours and share ideas about the neighbourhood. The association is very involved with the Wood Street Park Food Forest, which also had an active Facebook group.
