Kensal Park — NeighbourGood London
Email Globe Phone

Kensal Park is just southwest of the core, along Springbank Dr. between Wonderland and Wharncliffe.  The neighbourhood features post-war bungalows with large front drives and mature trees.  There is a commercial plaza at Springbank Dr. and Kernohan Parkway that offers residents access to restaurants, shops, and a variety of services.

Kensal Park also has great access to the natural environment.  The main park in the neighbourhood is Kensal Park, which has two play structures, soccer and baseball fields, and connects to the Thames Valley Parkway along the Thames River.  Just east of Kensal Park is the Coves Environmentally Significant Area.  The Coves Ponds and ravine are part of the Thames River Watershed and have great natural diversity.  There are many walking paths throughout the Coves that are easily accessible from Kensal Park. The Greenway Off-leash dog park is also in the neighbourhood.

Kensal Park French Immersion Elementary School is located in the neighbourhood, and children also attend Woodland Heights and St. Martin elementary schools.  Secondary students in the area attend Westminster and Catholic Central.
