Located just southeast of the Downtown Core, the Hamilton Road neighbourhood stretches along Hamilton Rd. from Adelaide to Highbury.  The housing in the neighbourhood is diverse, with many different styles built from the late 19th  century to the post-World War II era.  There are many unique businesses along Hamilton Road that serve the local population, as well as the city as a whole.  Hamilton Road is also home to a cluster of industrial buildings and businesses along the train tracks. A very unique feature of the Hamilton Road business community is the Tree Trunk Tour, which features more than a dozen custom carvings, each with their own story and history.

There are many great facilities for recreation in Hamilton Road. There are two parks on the banks of the Thames River, each with connections to the Thames Valley Parkway, Vauxhall and St. Julien. St. Julien has a baseball diamond, soccer fields, basketball court, play structures, a skate park, and 27-hole disc golf course.  In the northern part of the neighbourhood, there is Silverwoods Park, with an outdoor pool, wading pool, and arena. The BMO Centre, which has six indoor fields for soccer, football, lacrosse, and many other recreational activities is also located in the neighbourhood. The Crouch Branch of the London Public Library, the Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre, and the Hamilton Road Seniors' Centre and Community Centre are located in the neighbourhood.

There are five schools in the Hamilton Road neighbourhood: Trafalgar, Holy Cross, and Ealing elementary, Lester B. Pearson elementary school for the arts and B. Davison Secondary School, which specializes in giving students vocational training.  Students in the area also attend Central, H.B. Beal, or Catholic Central secondary schools.
