Westmount is a large neighbourhood in southwest London with a diverse mix of housing.  Much of the area is characterized by single family homes, built in 1960s era in the eastern portion and newer homes towards the western portion. There are many apartment buildings along the major streets of Wonderland and Commissioners. Throughout the neighbourhood there are townhomes and row housing, of various eras and styles. Westmount Mall is a major landmark in the neighbourhood, serving as a transit hub and centre for shopping and community services.  There is also a large commercial plaza at the intersection of Southdale and Wonderland Roads.

 

There are a number of parks in Westmount.  Some of the major parks are Jesse Davidson Park, which has a spray pad and soccer and baseball fields, Basil Grover Park has a skateboard park, and Southwest Optimist Park has two soccer fields and two baseball diamonds.  There are also many smaller neighbourhood parks, featuring play structures and swing sets, including St. Lawrence Park, Westmount Lions Park, Westmount Park, Cresthaven Park, and Rosecliffe Park.  There are also two community owned pools in Westmount, Woodcrest Community Pool and Forest Edge Community Pool. The StarTech.com Community Centre, YMCA, and Library is located on the corner of Southdale and Bostwick, providing area residents with multi-purpose community space, an indoor pool and gymnasium, double pad arena, YMCA fitness facility, and Library branch.

The Civic Gardens Complex, Springbank Gardens, Springbank Community Centre and the Thames Valley Parkway are located on the northern edge of Westmount at the intersection of Wonderland and Springbank.

 

There are many schools in Westmount.  St. Rose of Lima and St. Jude Catholic elementary schools, Westmount, W. Sherwood Fox, Sir Isaac Brock, and Arthur Ford public elementary schools, and Saunders Secondary School.  Students living in certain areas of Westmount may also attend Woodland Heights Public School, and Catholic Central or St. Thomas Aquinas secondary schools. The Family Centre Westmount is located in St Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School and is where families can access the many services and resources available to them. 

 

There are four neighbourhoods within the boundaries of Westmount: Cranbrook, Norton Estates, Berkshire Village, and Rosecliffe.
