Cherryhill is a unique neighbourhood known for its high density of apartment buildings. Due to its proximity to Western University and its accessible housing style, this neighbourhood has a high proportion of both older adults and students. This is most visible at Cherryhill Mall, which is the commercial and cultural hub of the neighbourhood and has many shops and services, including the Cherryhill Branch Library.
Cherryhill is home to the London Muslim Mosque, the heart of the local Muslim community and Ontario’s oldest mosque. The nearest elementary school is Eagle Heights. Kensington Park is tucked behind houses on Gower Street and has a small baseball diamond and a basketball court. West Lions Park is not far from Cherryhill and has baseball and soccer fields, Kinsmen Recreation Centre, basketball courts, a spray pad, a play structure, swing sets, and a skateboard park.
