Chelsea Green is a small neighbourhood just southeast of the core area. The neighbourhood has a mix of housing types and ages with some dating back to the late 1800’s. There are many single detached homes, along with three story walk-ups, row housing, and small apartment buildings. Adelaide Street has a few small businesses but the closest main commercial zones are on Hamilton Road and at the intersection of Adelaide and Commissioners.
The neighbourhood runs along the edge of the river with access to the Thames Valley Parkway at Adelaide. Chelsea Green is home to the Wheable Adult Education Centre, the Brookside Banquet Centre / London Sports Park and the Chelsea Green Children's Centre. Princess Elizabeth Public School is just on the other side of Thompson Road and St. John Catholic French Immersion School is close by in the SoHo neighbourhood. The main park in the area is Chelsea Green Park, with a soccer field and Thompson Road Park has a nice nature trail along the river.
