Located in the Old North area, Broughdale’s northern edge follows the curve of the Thames River and is home to King’s University College and the historic St. Peter’s Seminary. Proximity to Western University is a dominant feature of this neighbourhood, with many students and faculty choosing to call the area home.
Broughdale has a mix of historic single detached homes and apartment buildings along Richmond Street. Broughdale Park is a small picturesque park in the middle of the neighbourhood with a play structure and swing set. At the edge of the neighbourhood is Ross Park, a large green space that is great for throwing or kicking a ball around with friends. This neighbourhood is also home to some great hiking trails along the river.
The intersection of Richmond and Huron has a few businesses, with the nearest major shopping centres on Adelaide at Huron, Oxford at Richmond and Masonville Mall.
